The beta for Technagame's 009: Mountaintop Peril is almost here. The game uses Technagame's new TechnaEngine that provides 3D even on older machines while still remaining fun. The engine is not complete yet though so dont expect another Halo. For now expect DOOM with better graphics. The release is planned for Monday so check back soon. The guys at Technagame apoligise for the late release (for those who don't check the calendar is was planned for last Friday) so they put something extra in the beta to compensate. The beta lets you play half of the last chapter in campign mode. In the bta you will get to use one vehicle from the complete game, the snowmobile. You will also go though two levels in the last chapter, not counting the snowmobile ride. Technagame has also confirmed that in this first public beta release there is no multiplayer mode or game types such as Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.
